First Blog

Welcome Message

Welcome to our very first blog! To introduce myself, I am Jill Brown the owner and distiller here at Avva Scottish Gin.

FINALLY, Moray has reached LEVEL 2; this now allows us to operate our Tasting Tours! So excited to be able to meet our customers again and share our story as well as our favourite spirit, right in the heart of Speyside.  It has been such a long time planning and the experience itself has seen several iterations due to the pandemic but we can’t wait for you to come along.

News

We’ve already had a really busy year and are preparing to share some of our exciting news!

Our website was completely overhauled and Jill worked alongside some amazingly talented digital gurus. The new website has allowed us to have much more flexibility with the products and services we will be offering. Our very own bespoke e-commerce shop sits beside the new Tasting Tours that can be booked online, as well as our brilliant digital Gift Cards.

We want to say a HUGE thank you to all the amazing people who made this digital makeover possible!

LMWC – Lesley (a digital ninja guru)
MeltedHouse Digital – Brian (website wizard)
Heather Yates Photography – Heather (camera magician)
We have so many more images to share with you which Heather captured!
Muse Graphic Design – Allan (graphic design wizard)
Again Alan’s full work is yet to be seen but it is worth the wait!
Designed Graphics & Signs, Elgin – Ronnie
He’s not finished his work yet but that’s for another blog!

We also have a refreshed look for our logo, did you see the change? We absolutely love it and hope you’ll be seeing much more of it over the coming months.
The new logo has now allowed us to finally put up a beautiful new sign!

Our shop is also now open at the Distillery.

Opening times:

Tuesday – closed
Wednesday – 10 AM until 4.30 PM
Thursday – 10 AM until Noon

Events

As things slowly return to normal we are working towards some great events and already have some dates in the diary for later this year.

Inverness Farmers Market – 5th June

The market is held the FIRST SATURDAY of each month on the High Street in Inverness, 9 AM to 3.30 PM – super range of local products, we look forward to seeing you there!

WORLD GIN DAY 12th June & The Queens Official Birthday

I know an entire day celebrating Gin! Definitely, one of our favourite days 😉 AND also we will be wishing Her Majesty, The Queen a very Happy Birthday on her official birthday. We have it on good authority that she enjoys a large G&T.

FATHERS DAY is on SUNDAY 20th June

Traditionally our most popular gifts are the Navy Strength & Cask Finish Gin but this year you might want to come and share a TASTING TOUR! We have a full range of bottle sizes on our website as well as online bookings for the tours. Last orders to ensure arrival on the 20th will be the 15th.
